About this initiative
Two villages in the Dodoma region relied on a seasonal river and long walks for their daily water. This initiative drilled and built three community wells with hand pumps, and trained local water committees to keep them running, cutting the daily walk for water from hours to minutes.

WasserHilfe Tansania e.V. is a registered charity based in Germany that builds community water points in central Tanzania. It works with village water committees who own and maintain each well after handover.
